ABOUT OUR FARM
Background
Tate Farms was established in 1978 by Hal and Nancee Tate. The farm consisted of 150 acres of cropland and a few beef cattle. Their sons, Bruce and Russ, joined the farm at an early age. Over the years, Tate Farms has continued to grow using new technology and better farming practices to increase efficiency and productivity. We treat our employees like family and feel they are a huge part of what we have accomplished. Currently we grow corn, soybeans, wheat, and hay. We also have 110 head of registered Red Angus beef cattle. We sell breeding stock, bulls, and feeder calves. Custom farming is still an important part of our business. We take pride in doing a quality job for our long time customers. Farming has drastically changed since 1978. Even with the changing times, hard work, dedication, and a passion for agriculture still remain priorities at Tate Farms.
